The university campus is well connected with regular public transport links direct from London, with the high-speed Southeastern train service getting you from London St Pancras International to Canterbury West in just 54 minutes. Its just a 20-minute bus ride from Canterbury West station to the campus, picking up from Westgate Towers, 4 minutes walk from the train station - Stagecoach 400/401
The M2 and A2 are around 20 minutes away and our free parking is available onsite for both cars and coaches, if travelling in a group and wanting to head out and explore some of Kent’s loveliest attractions which are on our doorstep.

KITEA: One of the South East's Largest and Most Versatile Conference Venues
Did you know the University of Kent has one of the largest conference venues in the South East? KITEA (Kent Indoor Tennis and Events Arena) can accommodate a seated capacity for 4,000 delegates and can be adapted to cater to a wide range of events.
Built in 2021, KITEA offers over 3,000 sq meters of flexible and versatile flat floor space that can host a variety of conferences, trade exhibitions, banquets, functions, sporting events, concerts and more. Since it was built, several large conferences and events have been hosted in the arena.
Showcasing Success: Hosting the Prestigious Lambeth Conference at KITEA
A stand-alone conference that worked perfectly in this venue was the prestigious Lambeth Conference in 2022. The event was hosted by the Archbishop of Canterbury and brought together over 1500 delegates from around the world. Tiered seating and a large stage were set up to host the talk sessions and speeches. Exhibition stalls were set up in the car park and they also made the most of our facilities on the wider campus by delivering over 100 seminars and workshops in various seminar rooms and lecture theatres.
More recently, in July 2024, the Vulcan Riders Association held their VRA International Rally 2024 in our Kent Indoor Tennis and Events Arena. The 18th rally gathered over 300 guests across four days, bringing members together from over 25 different countries.
