The Team

The dedicated events team works closely with our clients to ensure that every need is met and to help an event run seamlessly, both in the run-up and on the day. With years of experience working on events of all sizes and types, the team is here to help no matter what your event may require.

Background

The Kent Event Centre opened at the Kent Showground, Detling, in 1991 and has grown ever since with the development of new, modern, purpose-built event spaces.

All the profits from the Kent Event Centre go to the registered charity, Kent County Agricultural Society. Formed in 1923, the Kent County Agricultural Society aims to improve and promote agriculture, forestry, horticulture, allied industries, rural crafts, and the breeding of livestock across the county.

In addition to making several awards each year, the society is best known for organising the annual Kent County Show, the Heritage Transport Show, and Living Land, a free one-day event aimed at educating young children in the area about farming, agriculture, countryside, and healthy eating.  Being part of a charity means the centre understands the importance of giving back and continues to support other charities, associations, and agricultural businesses in various ways.

Testimonial

“I just wanted to drop a quick note to say a BIG thank you to you and your team for your help over the weekend. The grounds team were so incredibly helpful and always there whenever we needed them- so quick to respond. You and your event office team were also so very helpful and flexible. The event was a big success but that would not have been so without you and the team there. Please pass on a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped.” – Love Fairs
