One of the last remaining independent racecourses in the country, founded in 1884 it still has all the character you would expect a local course to have. Hosting 16 racedays a year from September to May it is perfect for all things corporate. With a large permanent marquee, 12 hospitality boxes, restaurant and directors box, the team can cater from 2 to 300. How to get to Sussex

By Rail

Reading is the western terminus for the new Elizabeth Line which links directly with central London, the City and Docklands. Reading is also just 22 minutes on GWR trains from Paddington. In all, Reading is reachable directly from more than 250 locations by train.

By Road

Reading is at Junctions 10/11 of the M4 and has a direct RailAir road link with Heathrow Airport (40 minutes).

Travelling by car:

  • Sussex can be reached by taking the M23 or M20 motorway from London.

  • To reach Brighton, take the M23 southbound and exit at junction 11.

  • The journey time may vary depending on traffic conditions, so it's a good idea to check ahead and plan accordingly.
     

Travelling by rail:

  • Take the train from Victoria station in London to get to Sussex. This is the main station serving the area.

  • If you're going to Brighton, it takes just 50 minutes to get there from London.

  • Other options include taking the train from Portsmouth to Chichester (30 minutes), Canterbury to Hastings (90 minutes), or Woking to Crawley (1 hour).
