Bodleian Library

The Bodleian Library presents a unique venue for any summer party or celebration. The Divinity School can seat 120 guests or host 200 for a standing drinks reception, giving guests time to absorb the picturesque backdrop of Oxford. Offering a distinctive and different experience, the historical charm and majestic architecture makes for the perfect backdrop for your next summertime event!

Three of the grandest rooms in the iconic Old Bodleian Library are available for hire: the 15th-century Gothic Divinity School; Convocation House, a 17th-century room with fan-vaulted ceiling and fine woodwork; and the University’s former courtroom, Chancellor’s Court. Alongside these are the airy atrium space of Blackwell Hall with a colonnade overlooking Broad Street, one of Oxford’s largest spaces for dining and the Roof Terrace of the Weston Library with its spectacular views - ideal for a summer drinks reception, capacity for up to 100.
