Oxford University RFC Marquee for Hire in early December

In early December, Oxford University Rugby Club erects a large marquee on our grounds for our annual Major Stanley's event, hosting many local Oxfordshire businesses for a formal three-course luncheon between two historic invitational rugby matches. Every year we are keen for other large events to make use of the marquee while it is up, and your enquiry sounds perfect for this. Major Stanley's is on the 3rd December this year, so we are open for hiring from the 4th to the 10th of December.

The marquee will be a 1,000-person capacity, but we are able to divide up the space by putting up walls to make it suit any gathering smaller than this. Please see the pictures below for an insight into the space.

We would recommend the use of our caterer, Lamb Catering, as they will be familiar with the kitchens and will have set them up to their liking, and would be happy to put you in touch with them. We are doing a three-course formal meal with cheese, but they are able to cater for any level of formality. You would nevertheless be welcome to hire your own caterer if you have an ongoing relationship you would rather maintain.

The marquee will also have a large bar with 7 serving stations (each with four taps, usually Guinness, 2x beers, and Somersby cider) in the centre of the marquee, with space for dancing in front. You can choose to operate this bar through a tab, or on a cash basis, whichever works best for your guests/budget!
