MEETINGS, CONFERENCES & PRODUCT LAUNCHES AT SHEPHERD NEAME VISITOR CENTRE

The Shepherd Neame Brewery in the heart of historic Faversham makes an ideal venue for a corporate event, whether it is a seminar, meeting, product launch, private lunch or dinner.

The brewery is conveniently located a little over an hour from London (St Pancras or Victoria) by train; just off the M2 motorway and  within easy reach of the ancient city of Canterbury.

The brewery’s Visitor Centre boasts a romantic charm. Set in a beautifully restored medieval hall house, it features a host of original features including exposed oak beams and an octagonal crown post, and can seat up to 60 delegates, theatre-style. There is also a small meeting room which can provide additional space for breakout groups.

Alternatively, for larger conferences, the spacious Old Brewery Store events venue can seat up to 150 delegates, theatre-style and can accommodate over 300 for networking events or product launches. Created in the former wines and spirits warehouse, the venue is fully equipped with its own bar, modular stage, in-house sound system, and theatre-style lighting.

Both venues offer a full range of PA and presentation equipment, their own bars, and a full catering service, provided by our in-house team of chefs.

There is also the option to incorporate other team-building activities during your time with us, such as an exclusive guided tour of the brewery, tutored beer tasting session, or beer-tasting challenge.

Our team of dedicated functions co-ordinators will be on hand to ensure that your special event is planned to perfection.

BREWERY TOURS

Shepherd Neame is Britain’s Oldest Brewer and was, for many years, thought to date from 1698. However, recently-discovered evidence reveals a brewery on the site in 1573 and possibly as early as 1505.

Today, the brewery produces around 1.2 million pints of beer a week and owns over 330 pubs throughout the South East of England.

A Brewery Tour can be included in the day’s itinerary so your delegates can see behind the scenes and discover how beer is brewed as well as learning a little of Shepherd Neame’s rich history.  Tours usually culminate with a fascinating tutored tasting with one of our expert guides.

DELEGATE ACCOMMODATION

There are a number of Shepherd Neame hotels, inns and pubs with rooms within easy travelling distance of the brewery: The Sun Inn is just five minutes’ walk away and The Railway is also in Faversham town centre.  Our Function Co-ordinators can provide more details of these and other properties, including country pubs and coastal hotels.
