Eton College Queen’s Eyot | Windsor, Berkshire

eyot, ait (āt) n. small island in river, especially the Thames - You say it like the number eight.

The word is commonly used in the names of the little islands that dot the river in the reaches between Windsor and Reading. But for most people it surfaces only as a curious term during commentaries on the Oxford Cambridge boat race.   Owned by Eton College since 1923, Queen's Eyot offers stylish modern facilities in idyllic surroundings.  Access is by a two minute ferryboat crossing and the four acres of extensive gardens and riverside lawns along with the clubhouse and/or marquee are exclusively yours for the day.  This island oasis is ideal for all types of event including team building, conferences, gala dinners and wedding receptions.
